It is much easier to explore the CD into the CD burner and use a CD ripper such as Exact Audio Copy (EAC), also free, or all audio files you copy the CD drive on laptop. Then remove the CD and a blank CD and write the songs you want on a new CD with InfraRecorder, for example. So no need for portable CD players and not lose any audio quality.
